Our Mission

At the Miss Dogwood USA Pageant, our mission is to empower young women by providing scholarship opportunities and fostering personal growth. We celebrate intelligence, leadership, and dedication to community service, creating a platform for contestants to shine and make a lasting impact.

About us

The Miss Dogwood USA Pageant, located in Camdenton, Missouri, is more than just a competition; it's a platform for empowering women. Rooted in the spirit of community and scholarship, we provide opportunities for growth and achievement. Join us in celebrating the potential and accomplishments of exceptional young women.

Each spring, the Miss Dogwood USA crown is passed to a new queen who carries on a proud legacy of service and spirit. These young women represent the strength and compassion of our community, serving as volunteers, mentors, and advocates long after the final spotlight fades.

From our first queen in 1949 to our reigning Miss Dogwood USA 2025, Elizabeth Bailey, every titleholder has helped the pageant grow in grace and purpose.

The pageant is proudly held in partnership with the Camdenton Area Chamber of Commerce during the annual Dogwood Festival. Together, we celebrate the strength of local traditions and the bright future of the young women who represent them.

The Miss Dogwood Scholarship pageant is open to young ladies ages 16-22. You must be a resident of

Camden, Miller, Morgan, and Laclede County.

Being crowned Miss Dogwood USA  was truly unforgettable. 👑

The Miss Dogwood USA Pageant gave me confidence, friendships, and memories I will cherish forever. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to represent such an incredible organization.

"The Miss Dogwood USA Pageant is more than just a competition — it’s a sisterhood, a platform for growth, and an opportunity to represent something bigger than yourself.

From the friendships I gained to the confidence I built, this journey shaped me in ways I never expected. Wearing the crown in 2024 wasn’t just about the title — it was about service, leadership, and inspiring others to chase their dreams.

I will forever be grateful for this experience and the memories that came with it."

Miss Dogwood USA 2024, Katie Marie

"The Miss Dogwood Pageant was life-changing for me. When it says “make friends that will last a lifetime,” I had no idea I would meet two of my lifelong friends by competing. One would later become my Maid of Honor and Miss Dogwood 1997, and the other, then 10 years old, assisting with the pageant, would become the current Miss Dogwood director, Brenda. My love for the pageant began as a young girl and continued as a contestant, director, pageant mom, and now on an advisory/assistant level. I have met so many amazing contestants over the years and have seen firsthand the impact this pageant has made on so many lives. I am honored to share the title with my mother-in-law, Miss Dogwood 1958, Kay Shannon Brittain, and my daughter, Miss Dogwood 2022, Destiny Drake. I can’t imagine my life without the Miss Dogwood Pageant and encourage all young women to explore this amazing opportunity, you never know what the future holds for you… "
